I can do casual!

After Katanya convinced me to try something a bit more casual yesterday, and took yet another amazing picture of me, I thought I should try to find something even more laid back before I play my next game.  Below is my attempt.  What do you think; is it me?

Amazing pictures!

I just wanted to post to thank Katanya so much for these amazing new pictures of me.  It was so nice of her to offer to take these for me after I posted on Facebook saying I thought I should get a new profile picture.  These are so much better than anything I could have done.  Thank you again so very much!

That voodoo that you do

The diary mentioned a Voodoo Queen, perhaps I should go to her for help?  After my long day in the bayou, I headed back to Cole's to clean up, rest, and get a fresh change of clothes.  It wasn't hard to find the Queen's house, but would she be willing to talk to me?  All of this voodoo stuff has been difficult to fathom, and I'm not sure what meeting some sort of high priestess will entail or expose me to.

As impress as her house was, the woman was even more so.  Luckily for me, she had knowledge of some of what was going on, and was willing to help me, but it meant that I would have to delve into voodoo myself.  That part was worrisome enough, but what would happen to me summoning a loa?  I didn't have time to think, I had to find my brother and save him.

Nothing could prepare me for what I would witness today.  My brother possessed, his captor in grave danger, and those creatures from the shadows I had seen in the bayou were all around us.  I've seen so much since I arrived in New Orleans.  So many odd things.  And yet, I have made it this far.  I won't let this scare me, I will save Cole, and perhaps Ada too!

Danger everywhere

I returned to the bayou after a fitful night of attempted sleep not sure what I might encounter.  All of those noises I heard last night, now I could see their origin.  Bugs were everywhere, alligators swam the waters, and pythons slithered through the undergrowth.  Where was Cole?  Or would I find little Ada first?

As I searched through the thick trees and growth I found strange monuments, or perhaps offerings.  Did these have anything to do with voodoo like I had started to learn about?  The symbols looked like some I had seen in the book, but what were these here for?  I found coins at each of these strange places.

The first shack I found had no real clues, so I kept searching.  The day wore on, and I finally found another shack.  What I found inside, after everything I had seen today was shocking.

Someone had set up what looks like some sort of shrine to my brother.  On another table I found a locked diary, and the coins I had seen earlier seemed to fit on the cover.  I managed to open the book and was deeply disturbed.  A tale of an obviously confused soul who thinks she is in love with my brother.  She held him captive...  I am so worried!  Where is Cole?!

The magic of the bayou

With a Priest's help, I was able to find an odd receipt in the church, and a strange doll.  I followed the address on the receipt and ended up in a strange shop filled with all sorts of curiosities.  The woman there told me the things she sells are for voodoo.  What on earth was my brother getting himself into?

After my chat with the shopkeeper, she had me investigate some of the candles back in the cathedral and try looking for one of her books.  Didn't I see a bookcase back in my brother's office?  I went back to look and was surprised he had what I was looking for, so I went back for another chat.  Mama Mojo said I could find Sally Dupre's sister Ada in a shack in the bayou.

Mama Mojo slipped me a knife before we said goodbye, and told me the bayou was dangerous.  It's getting dark now.  Perhaps I should go back to my brother's office for the night and try again tomorrow.

Following Cole's path

My brother had apparently picked up a case to find this woman's sister.  I wonder if I will be able to find out what happened to her as I wander around trying to discover where my brother has gone.  I think that is my best course of action at the moment.

Could my brother have been here looking for little Ada?  I decided it was a good idea to stop and say a prayer while I was here.  I can use all the help I can get on this journey.

My first stop

I was glad to finally make my flight to New Orleans to try and figure out what has happened to my brother Cole (part of the background offered by this particular game).  Once I got there I went straight to his office, and he was nowhere to be found.  I had a nose around; he is my brother after all.  What could he possibly have been working on?

So embarrassed

Oh my, I am so dreadfully embarrassed.  I wasn't paying proper attention when I was uploading the lovely photos my friend had taken of me ages ago to Flickr, and missed that one of them was partially naked.  Since I hadn't noticed, I marked all of my pictures as Safe.  I didn't notice until today that my account had been flagged as Moderate by Flickr staff.  I can't believe how careless I was, and really hope no one was offended by the picture I forgot to mark.  I have marked the picture correctly now and submitted my account for review.  I must pay more attention in the future!

Quick stop off

I was about to board my flight to New Orleans when I was contacted by Detective Spade.  There were a series of murders while I was on my last adventure, and he needs my help deciphering all the clues.  It all links back to the Lonely Hearts Club.  Will I be able to figure out whodunit?

Next stop...

Adventures in spellcasting

No one was in the Great Hall, so I hopped up on a table closest to one of my house's banners and struck a pose in between classes.  I am an accomplished witch!  Well, I passed my first year of classes at least, and saved the school from certain doom.  Yay!

*uncovers a tattered journal covered with sand*

Hello everyone!

I thought it was time for me to dust off my old journal and start using it again.  *sneezes*  Goodness!  Excuse me.  This is all covered in dust from my days in Ireem.  I was sad to see the sands take that lovely place back, but I have seen the sand take many things over the years.

I have been adventuring now and then, but I haven't found a steady place to settle.  Instead of being a sticky fingers inside the city walls, I now wander from one strange land to the next as a MadPea.  I am going to figure out how to get pictures of my adventures, and start sharing those here for you all, as well on the Flickr place.

Hmm, I wonder if I can start sewing again too?
